Some furniture, accessories, fabrics, wallcoverings, area rugs etc are available only through designers, architects & qualified dealers. Likewise, some highly skilled drapery workrooms, upholsterers, and other craftspeople limit their services to certain clientele and are not available to the public. This implies exclusiveness, but the hallmark of “To the Trade” is quality. Goods purchased through this venue are usually more costly than what is otherwise available but the price is tied to intrinsic and lasting value. “To the Trade” items are worth considering. Sometimes the price difference is not nearly as great as the difference in quality, compared to what you might purchase in another market. And the item can often provide great value while adding luxury to the project.
